Emergency teams responded promptly and worked tirelessly for several hours to isolate and fully suppress the fire, with no injuries reported.
The leadership of the Yemen Arabian Sea Ports Corporation, represented by Chairman Eng. They also extended their appreciation to the Hadramout Coast Guard, local security authorities, the Yemen Petroleum Company (Hadramout Branch), and supportive citizens for their contributions in containing the incident.
The Corporation commended the proactive efforts of its own Berths and Yards Department and Marine Operations teams, who, in coordination with the Coast Guard, promptly relocated nearby wooden vessels away from the fire zone as a critical safety measure and remained on standby for any emergencies.
Chairman Basamer and Vice Chairman Alrbaky assured shipping agents and the public that the fire was confined to an external facility and had no impact on port operations, infrastructure, or docked vessels. All port activities, including cargo handling and terminal operations, continue as normal.
Senior port officials, including Mr. Jihad Jawhar, Director of Berths and Yards, Captain Murad Shalshal, Director of Marine Operations, and several staff members remained on-site throughout the night to oversee safety procedures until the fire was completely under
