Engineer Salem Ali Basmer, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Arabian Sea Ports Corporation, participated in the prestigious 14th International Maritime Transport and Logistics Conference (MARLOG 14), themed "Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Shaping the Future of the Digital World." The conference, which drew a distinguished gathering of global experts and specialists, focused on the integration of cutting-edge technological advancements in maritime transport and logistics.

Organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport in Alexandria, and under the patronage of the Arab League, the three-day event (held from February 23-25) provided a comprehensive overview of the latest developments in the sector. It also explored the transformative role of artificial intelligence in enhancing operational efficiency and optimizing processes within the maritime industry.

As an annual event in Alexandria, the MARLOG conference serves as a vital platform for industry leaders, researchers, and decision-makers to exchange insights on emerging trends, challenges, and innovations shaping the future of global maritime logistics. The conference plays a crucial role in promoting sustainable growth and development within this critical sector.

In addition to Engineer Basmer, the conference was attended by Mr. Fadi Abdullah Mahrous, Director of Procurement and Warehousing at the Corporation, Engineer Omar Abdullah Basaid, Specialist in Port and Coastal Structures at the Corporation, and Mr. Hamza Khaled Bajandouh, a Bachelor’s student specializing in International Transport Logistics at the Arab Academy.
