Member of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) and Governor of Hadramout, Salem Ahmed Al-Khanbashi, met today with Engineer Salem Basamer, Chairman of the Yemen Arabian Sea Ports Corporation (YASPC), to review the corporation’s current operations and performance.

During the meeting, Governor Al-Khanbashi lauded the "patriotic and responsible role" played by Engineer Basamer throughout recent events in the governorate. He highly commended Basamer’s courageous stance and dedicated efforts in ensuring the safety of personnel and maintaining the stability of vital facilities, most notably the Port of Mukalla.

The Governor also expressed his reassurance regarding Basamer’s health following his previous abduction, firmly reiterating his rejection of all criminal acts targeting national administrative figures.

Furthermore, the PLC member reaffirmed his full support for the YASPC leadership's efforts to modernize the port and enhance its administrative and technical efficiency. He emphasized that the Port of Mukalla remains a vital economic lifeline for the governorate and a cornerstone for regional development and trade, pledging the local authority's continued backing for all dedicated national efforts.
